Mind Endurance: How to Stay Positive Despite Having Surrounded with Negative Cliques

It was only a year ago that I experienced awful treatment from the running cliques. This group did whatever they can to bully and pushed me to the wall.

Doing endurance sports, group training can help. This only applies to beginner level though, where each athlete can compare notes and experiences.

That moment when an athlete survive a marathon, each training level becomes different.

In my case, I was training on my own already at the start of my running career. However, my solo training did not really start from running. The soloist approach to endurance training happened when I tried to crossed off major peaks after several attempts and failures.

For the negative cliques, such solo training is not in their game yet they love to shine but avoid hard work.

If an athlete trained solo, our mind and our body will get used to such environment. The following are ways to train successfully solo and surviving negative cliques :

a) Stay focus, focus and focus
b) Avoid negative people particularly if they act negatively to others, its more than likely that they will act negative against you some day.
c) Train in the morning if you work have strict schedule
d) Observe how other athletes train and pick-up what's good for you
e) Try new things and avoid being judgmental
f) Hill work is a must and do this few times a week
g) Train at higher altitude if you have the time
h) Less is more - do not overtrain
i) Log and writes notes about your training, nutrition and injury
